Ryan Schiff joined the firm as an associate in 2003 after graduating from Northeastern University School of Law. His practice focuses on criminal and civil litigation in state and federal appellate and trial courts.

Ryan has argued appeals before the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit and the Massachusetts Appeals Court. He has represented clients in the Massachusetts trial courts, before state administrative agencies, and in connection with state and federal criminal investigations. Ryan served as associate counsel for a double-murder trial in the Suffolk County Superior Court, for a five-week racketeering trial in federal court, and for a number of complex state and federal appeals, including the successful appeal of a first- degree murder conviction before the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court. In 2007, the First Circuit Court of Appeals selected Ryan to serve on the Criminal Justice Act appellate panel, the list of attorneys qualified to accept federal appellate appointments.

• Teaching assistant for Northeastern’s first-year legal writing and research course. Before law school, Ryan earned a graduate degree in English and taught writing at the university level.
